WASHINGTON, DC — The National Transportation Safety Board Tuesday, June 18, 2013, determined that the probable cause of a June 24, 2012, head-on collision of two Union Pacific Railroad freight trains was the eastbound train crew’s failure to respond to wayside signals, in a release issued by the department.

The OSBI is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect who murdered 77-year-old Charles Nieman at the Boise City, Oklahoma, Loaf’n Jug convenience store on June 12. The suspect is believed to be a Hispanic male, 5’6”-5’8”, medium build, in his late 20s to early 30s. He was seen fleeing the area on foot wearing khaki shorts and a dark-colored T-shirt.
